Justin's 4th Birthday-Shel Silverstein

About a month ago, Robin contacted me with the most original birthday party idea for her little boy Justin.  Justin was turning 4 and LOVES Shel Silverstein!  I have to admit, I haven't read any Shel Silverstein books since I was a kid so off to the local library I went to check out books and research some fun ideas for the party.

We decided to design something based on the Giving Tree for the invite.  After a lot of research and trying my hand at "drawing" I came up with the tree.  Then I was stuck.  So, Do from Piggy Bank Parties and her sweet husband came to the rescue and designed the cutest little sketch of a boy that looked so much like Justin.

I also designed coordinating toppers, favor tags, table cards and signs for the party.
Justin is so lucky to have a mommy as crafty as Robin.  She made adorable signs with all of Justin's favorite Shel Silverstein poems for the different stations at the party.   They had a petting zoo, a face painter, a place to decorate frames and so much more!

She even hand crafted party hats for every guest and made these adorable favor bags with home-ade sidewalk chalk and notebooks for every child.

How adorable is the patio set up for the kids to eat?  Those are milk crates for them to sit on.  I LOVE this idea!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN!  Your mommy did an amazing job on this party!  Can't wait to work with you again Robin!

Easter Party

I think everyone in the entire country has had a long, cold winter.  I know in Maryland we have.  What better way to beckon warm weather and spring then hosting an Easter party?  As soon as I started designing the invitations and planning the party,  I think I felt warmer.  The girls and I have had so much fun over the last few months putting together ideas, lining up amazing vendors and planning the party of the spring!

To get our guests in the mood, I designed this adorable madras plaid invite.
From this, the entire party took off.
Sara at Sarandipity Sweets made the most adorable cake pops shaped like eggs.  They not only were so cute, but tasted great too!

Thanks for the Bunny nose idea from Simply Creative Printables

And the most delicious mini cookies from Sunshine Bakes.  She ships all the way from California and her cookies taste like they were just baked!

The cutest Easter bunny cupcakes my sweet friend Bethany made

We had a fun Easter craft, coloring sheets and LOTS of eggs to be dyed.

The kids each had their own apron to wear to keep those new Spring clothes clean when they were dying eggs.

Then it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt

They were thrilled to see the animals.  Nothing is cuter than a little furry baby duck or bunny! They brought a 30 pound bunny rabbit.  It was the biggest one I had ever seen!

Wouldn't be a party without Shari painting faces

With so much to do, these little ones worked up an appetite

Thanks so much to all the fabulous vendors who helped make this party a reality and to all our friends who came out to play and welcome spring. A special thanks to Kory from B Chase Photography for taking such beautiful pictures.  Can't wait to plan the next event with you! Happy Easter to you all!
Last but not least, a picture of me and two of my girls.  Finley was lying on the floor in front of us having a temper tantrum!  Good times........
